The VSBHL kicked off the season with a double header.
The Victoria-sanctioned ball hockey league officially kicked off its season on Thursday, May 7, at Kerry Park with an exciting pair of games featuring the Raiders.
In their opening matchup, the Raiders came out strong and earned a convincing 6-2 victory over the Tsunami. Mathew Gordon led the Raiders’ offense with a standout playmaking performance, recording three assists in the win.
The second game of the Raiders’ doubleheader proved to be a tougher challenge as they faced off against the Devils. The Devils capitalized on their chances and secured a 5-2 victory behind a dominant performance from Garrett Dunlop, who finished the game with two goals and two assists.
The league returns to action next Thursday, May 14, with another round of games scheduled at Kerry Park.
